Problem.
Living in the countryside with really poor broadband speeds
Owning and running your own website design company as Chris Dempsey from Cube Webworks knows is challenging to say the least. Apart from all the day to day issues, making sure you have fast enough Broadband speeds and bandwidth is vital. Working and living in a Rural area usually means that having good fast stable internet speeds most of the time can be a challenge. Your options are normal ADSL over a copper telephone line, Fibre if your lucky to have it close to you, Satellite broadband, which has its own challenges or other…..
This is exactly the challenge that Cube Webworks had……
Resolution.
Chris got in touch with the team at Aqua IT to explain the issue. The resolution was a fairly easy one.
Use the mobile networks.
We had determined that Vodafone and Three had strong signals in this area.
Next was to look at mounting a 5G compatible Antenna on the roof of the building, Installing a 5G compatible router such as a Teltonika or Draytek and then connecting everything to a data sim card.
Outcome.
Our resolution gave Chris stable broadband speeds of over 100mb download and an average of 40 mb upload for less than what he was paying for his existing slow line broadband and telephone line rental, (Happy Days!).
